Peoria Bell Credit Union was established in 1936 with 22 members and $146.35 in assets. Today we have 1360 members and assets in excess of $12,000,000.00.

Our focus is to provide courteous, personalized service in a friendly environment. Peoria Bell Credit Union offers quality products and services using the latest in technology. As a not-for-profit, member-owned organization, we work hard to ensure the credit union philosophy of People Helping People.

Eligibility

There are numerous benefits of membership at Peoria Bell CU. Since credit unions are Not-For-Profit, we are able to return earnings to our members in the form of lower interest rates on loans, higher dividend rates on deposits and low or no fee services.

 Additionally, credit union accounts are federally insured up to $100,000.00 by the National Credit Union Administration.

Your membership at Peoria Bell is a lifetime membership! Once you are a member, you are always a member, even if you leave the field of membership.

Peoria Bell Credit Union's field of membership includes employees or retirees - living or working in Bloomington, Canton, Delavan, Farmington, Fiatt, Hanna city, Harding, Ipava, Kewanee, La Salle, Lewiston, Oglesby, Peoria, Plano, San Jose, Spring Bay and Utica, Illinois - of companies who can trace their roots back to the "Bell System". Immediate family members of the original member are eligible to become members of Peoria Bell Credit Union.

How to Join

Become a member of Peoria Bell by completing a membership application and depositing a minimum of $5 in a share saving account.

As long as you maintain a minimum of $5 in your share savings account, your credit union membership remains intact…regardless of whether you change jobs, employers or even retire. This is also true of family members who are credit union members.
